Nurse – Student Wellbeing

Massey University provides a health and counselling service for students on the Wellington Campus. The role of the Wellbeing Nurse will be a pivotal role in the student health and counselling team, practising both independently and in collaboration with other members of the team to promote the wellbeing of our student population.

We are looking for an experienced Wellbeing Nurse to provide the following:

·        Clinical services and support to students around their mental health and wellbeing

·        Provide education around mental health and wellbeing to our students and Massey staff

·        To provide general nursing services to our student population

·        Promote health and wellbeing across the Massey University Campus

To be considered for this appointment it is essential you are registered as a New Zealand Registered Nurse with mental health experience and hold a current NZ annual practicing certificate. Sound knowledge of Medtech and experience working with young adults and/or university students would be an advantage.

Consideration will be given to successful applicants seeking part time role and are available for a minimum of 30 hours per week.

The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.

The successful applicant will be part of a friendly multidisciplinary team which is self-motivated and enjoys working together to promote student well-being and academic success.
